Tonight’s Homework

There will not be any word sorts this week but there is math homework.
We worked on IXL M.24 in class today but not everyone was able to get 75%.  I would like those kids to work on it at home for at least 20 minutes or until they get 75%, whichever comes first.
We reviewed the steps in class:
1.  Convert the mixed number into an improper fractions
2.  Multiply across
3.  Simplify the answer or convert it back into a mixed number.

No Spelling Homework Tonight!

Because of the field trip tomorrow, we took our spelling test today and will therefore not have spelling homework tonight.  However, there is IXL M15 for math homework.
There will also not be any spelling homework next week due to the craziness of the week!

Field Trip Tomorrow

Don’t forget the field trip tomorrow! Make sure you arrive at the Front Runner Station in Roy between 8:20-8:40, the train leaves at 8:45. The weather is supposed to be pretty bad tomorrow so please plan for that both with drive time and clothing that you wear over your uniform. Bring a sack lunch that doesn’t need to be microwaved. Parents, please make sure you are at the Roy Front Runner Station to pick up your child promptly at 3:45.

Field Trip Chaperones

Here are the chaperones and the students they will be responsible for.  Please remember that students need to have a sack lunch and will need to be dressed in regular uniform attire.  (Preferably Blue or White shirt and Khaki pants)  Also be aware that the Frontrunner Train will not arrive at the Roy station until 3:45.  Please make arrangements to pick up your student promptly, as we are unable to leave until all students have been picked up.  I have several students that have elected not to join us on the field trip which makes for smaller groups.  I also will not be attending this field trip because of a previous family engagement but have a very competent sub lined up to take my place.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Fairy Tale Tabloid Assignment

marshSo in an effort to practice voice and writing skills, I had the students create a “fun” newspaper article about a fairy tale character.  I was amazed at the creativity they had!
