I will be having the students design a lesson and become the teacher for a day. They will present a lesson to the class using the following form and present in a 15-20 minute timeframe. We will present from now until the end of the year so that we can get through everyone.
I’m so sorry it has taken me so long to assign chaperones for the upcoming field trip to Fatcats on May 19th. I have been waiting to get all of the permission slips in and I apologize. If you are unable to be a chaperone because of my delay, please let me know.

Dear Parents,
I’m so sorry for the confusion regarding my post yesterday. I put the link for the sixth grade electives on my blog for the students to access but we actually registered for them during class. So if you were unable to access the document, you student has already completed it. If any student was absent yesterday, they will need to fill it out by tonight.
I’m sorry again for the confusion.
Here is the link to sign up for sixth grade elective courses. We need to make sure this is completed by the end of the day Tuesday. If your child will not be returning to Quest Academy next year, please be sure to inform the office.

I am having trouble with a large amount of students who are to completing the assigned activities during Center time. These are review activities on IXL in both ELA and math. This has led me to give unannounced extra credit to those students who have done what was asked of them. I’ve awarded 5 points per completed assignment. I am also struggling with getting completed homework turned in, which makes correcting and reviewing for end of level tests difficult. I realize that kids are excited for school to be ending but we still have work that needs to be done and three more weeks to go. Please check your child’s grades for any missing work.
Thanks so much,
Mrs. Shelton
I handed out a math review sheet on adding and subtracting fractions for homework tonight. I also reminded the kids to bring it home and return it tomorrow. Even though it is review, it will go on their grade.
