School Announcements

• School Fundraiser:  “Cookie Dough & Beef Jerky”. The fundraiser will run for one more week. Let’s meet the school goal of earning $40,000 this year!! All order forms and paperwork are due on Monday, September 10th.                         READY…SET…SELL!!! 
• Quarter 1 Book Report:  All chapter summaries are due on Friday, October 12th. If you have any questions about what book to read, please feel free to ask.

Reminders

• Early Out on Fridays!! School will dismiss at 1:30pm every Friday.
• Friday, September 7th is not a free dress day. Students are welcome to wear a Quest Spirit Shirt if they choose.

We had an awesome assembly this morning about this year’s fundraiser. Students will have the opportunity to sell cookie dough or beef jerky.

• The fundraiser begins today, and goes through Monday, September 10th.
• The school has a goal to raise over $40,000.00 to help pay for grade level field trips.
• Students will be able to earn cool prizes, including fun little lego characters.

It is School Picture Day tomorrow, Tuesday, August 29th. Students need to wear their uniform clothing. Order forms went home today. If you want to order pictures, please send the order form and money with your child to school tomorrow morning.

• You will read a 200+ page book.  
• You will write one paragraph about each chapter, as you read it.  A good paragraph gives many details and consists of at least 7 sentences with at least 10 words in each sentence.  
• The book must be read by Friday, October 12, 2018. All chapter summaries must be written by this time as well.
• You will submit the Google Doc after the book has been read, and all chapter summaries have been written. You will submit the Google Doc through Google Classroom.
• We will complete the book report in class.

School Announcements

• School Fundraiser: “Cookie Dough & Beef Jerky”. The fundraiser will begin on Tuesday, August 28th, and run through Monday, September 10th. (I will post additional information regarding the fundraiser later this week.)

• Picture Day: Wednesday, August 29th . Students will need to wear their school uniform

• Dollar Dress Down Day: Students are welcome to dress down in casual dress on Friday, August 31st if they donate $1.00.

• POQA’s Back to School Bash: Friday, August 31st from 7:30-9:30pm at the Clearfield Aquatic Center.

Reminders

• No School on Monday, September 3rd. I hope you all have a nice Labor Day Weekend. 

Due Date: Friday, August 24th

Please find items that fit inside this small brown paper bag (items that are too large to fit inside the bag, cannot be brought to school). Select items you like, and describe your personality. These items can be found around your house or bedroom. Please do not go to the store and buy anything brand-new. This is just a fun “All about Me” activity.

Parking Lot Procedures

Wow! It is hard to believe that the summer is nearly over, and school will be starting in a few weeks. Here are a few things that you will need to know.

My Blog

• I have a classroom blog, and I do the majority of parent and school communication through my blog. I post at least once a week, most weeks I usually create two or three posts. Reading my blog every week is a great way to stay informed as to what we are doing in class.

Classroom Supply List

• The “Classroom Supply List” can be found under the “Parent Tab” on my blog. I know life can get crazy busy, so I am accepting monetary donations to pick up supplies for your child. You can drop off your donation at the Q1 Office. If you purchased any classroom supplies, they will need to be dropped off at Back to School Night, or the First Day of School.

Classroom Disclosure 

• The “Classroom Disclosure” can also be found under the “Parent Tab” on my blog. Please read the disclosure with your child, and sign the E-Form that is located at the bottom of the disclosure.

Back to School Night

• Back to School Night will be held on Friday, August 17th from 5:30 to 7:30pm. There will be more information to follow. I look forward to meeting you then!

First Day & First Week of School

• The First Day of School will be on Tuesday, August 21st. There will be an early out this whole week, Tuesday-Friday, and school will dismiss at 1:30pm.
