ABOUT ME:
Hello parents and students!

I am very happy that I get to teach at Quest Academy! Fourth grade is an exciting time when students are beginning to read and understand more complex ideas, think independently, and work with other students on large projects. We learn all kinds of fun Math, Utah History, and Science. Fourth grade is the BEST!

I graduated from Weber State University and I am currently working toward my Master’s Degree. In the past I worked at Good Foundations Academy and Ogden Preparatory Academy charter schools. I am a strong believer in education. Before I became a teacher, I owned a state licensed daycare for 6 years that had over 200 kids enrolled where I taught preschool and ran a tutoring program for elementary students.

Some of the other positions I have held were a specialist at WSU in the First Year Experience Program, a sign language interpreter for college classes, and a graphic artist (which is why I am a bit of a techie). I love to keep myself busy with fun projects.

Something interesting about me is that I am also a professional abstract artist, and I paint on large canvases that I build myself. I have had some paintings published, and my art can be seen in local galleries from time to time. I have also painted murals at elementary schools in Ogden, and helped out painting large murals on the streets of Ogden.

I love bright colors, flowers, math, and travel. I recently came back from Venice, Italy where I studied Art History and Painting. I have also travelled all over India. I have two fabulous kids of my own, an amazing husband, and two dogs.

Well, that’s a little bit about me. I can’t wait to connect with all you parents and great fourth graders. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
