It’s time for parent/teacher conferences again. We are scheduled to have them Thursday, April 28th from 3:30-4:30. I have parking lot that day, so the time for the first meeting will probably be more like 3:40. Let me know if you would like to meet!
Aquarium Field Trip Tomorrow
- Our field trip is tomorrow, April 21st. We need all children at the Frontrunner Station in Roy no later than 8:15. Please drop your student off there before bringing other children to Quest. We will NOT be able to wait for a late child to arrive.
- Please make sure your child visits the restroom before you leave home, the train is not equipped to handle 120 children using the restroom.
- If you feel your child needs something to do on the Frontrunner, they may bring a book, cards, a small travel game, or what you feel is appropriate. Please note we are not responsible for lost, broken or stolen items.
- Your child needs a coat, a lunch, a water bottle, and a backpack. Their backpack is their desk and coatroom for the day.
- Please do not send money. We are also asking that volunteer parents not purchase ANYTHING at the Aquarium.
- We will be eating lunch outside. Please plan accordingly. No microwaves will be available.
- We will return to the Roy Station at about 3:45.
- Please do not take any child from the Frontrunner Station until you have checked them out with their teacher.
School Pictures Monday April 11th
Spring pictures will be taken on Monday, April 11th. Thus, uniforms are not required on this day. Please note that students should still follow dress down day guidelines by wearing appropriate attire. All students, unless you indicated otherwise, will have their picture taken. Sage Testing Schedule
It’s that time again for SAGE Testing!!! Please make sure your child is here during these testing times. Try and plan trips and appointments around these times please. Also, please make sure your child has a nice healthy breakfast on these days and is very rested. It takes a lot out of them. Please also make sure your child is here to school on time due to some of our have early test times. Here is our class SAGE Testing Schedule:

Pirates from Grammar Island
We have started our class play!! Students have been assigned roles and we are practicing songs and lines. Most of the work will be done here in class, but if students need some extra help memorizing they can take their scripts home near the end of April. I am scheduling the gym for their performance and I want to accommodate the most families possible. Please fill out the form below so I know availabilities. Thanks!!!

The bus company that we scheduled double booked so we need to change the date of the aquarium field trip. In order to keep the price of the field trip to $3 we will now be going on April 21st. We are so sorry for the problems this may cause.
Dollar Dress Down Tomorrow

Prodigy Group Discount
Prodigy is offering POQA the opportunity for any parents who are interested in upgrading their student’s free account to the paid version an annual rate of $12 per student account. The normal rate is approximately $9 per month or $60 per year so this is a significant (80%) discount! In order to receive this rate, a minimum of 30 parents must be willing to purchase the upgrade at the discounted rate. ($12 for 12 months!) If you are interested in participating in this optional parent discount program, here is what you need to do:
- Have a parent account on https://www.prodigygame.com/ (This is free and simple to create. Go to this website and create a “Parent Account” under the “Get your free account” link.)
- Link your student’s account to your personal parent account. If they use it in class, they have an existing account that can be linked to both their teacher and parent’s accounts. (They will need their login and password from school for you to link them.)
- Fill out the enrollment form below and return it to the office with $12 (preferably cash to make the process as simple as possible or check made out to POQA).
- Submit the form and money to the office by Wednesday, March 23rd.(In order to have the upgrade ready for Spring Break Math practice!)
- Existing upgraded members: This discounted annual membership would go into effect at the end of your current paid membership expiration.
