We are excited to participate in the upcoming field trip to Hill Aerospace Museum! Our field trip will be Tuesday, May 16th, and buses will leave the school at 9:00 AM sharp and will return to the school around 1:00 PM. Please be sure that your child packs a cold lunch from home (there will be no microwaves at the museum) in a disposable bag labeled with your child’s name. There will be NO SCHOOL LUNCH available!Please be sure that your child wears a WHITE uniform shirt (and uniform bottoms) on the field trip and comfortable walking shoes. Part of the field trip will be outdoors. The weather forecast calls for a high of 62 degrees and partly cloudy weather, so please dress appropriately. You may wish to wear sunscreen. Parent Chaperones, please sign in and get your volunteer sticker and come to our room by 8:45 at the latest. Please also, bring a backpack to carry your groups lunches in it. We have at least one chaperone for every group, but are more than happy to come if you would like to also help chaperone. If this is the case, please join your child’s group as a co-chaperone. There isn’t anything that needs to be turned in this week for homework. We will be grading homework off of the reports pulled off of the programs your child practices with.
1- Math Homework: We have completed all of our math lessons. Please have your child choose a math fact activity to practice.

1- Reading 20 minutes per day. No more Baggie Books. Please turn your baggie books in immediately. Also, please turn in all library books so that your child does not miss out on Field Day. They were due last Wednesday.

Spelling City is a great resource tool for your children to practice this week’s spelling words. They all know their logins and password is “rams”.

Hill Aerospace Museum Field Trip:
Our final field trip is Tuesday, May 16th from 8:30am-1:00pm to the Hill Aerospace Museum. Please have your student wear their white uniform shirt for this field trip. They will need to bring a sack lunch from home as no school lunch will be available. We will be leaving the school promptly at 9am and returning to the school by 1:00pm. If you are able to chaperone the field trip please email Mrs. Nelson asap to get on the list-and if you signed up at the beginning of the year to chaperone this field please also email Mrs. Nelson. We will have our groups put together by Friday. Thank you in advance for assisting with this.
Patriotic Program:
Quest Academy first graders will be performing a Patriotic Concert on Wednesday, May 17th 6:00-7:00pm in the Q1 gym. Please have your child in the gym by 5:45pm that evening, dressed in a RED SHIRT and uniform pants. Any patriotic accessories are encouraged!! (Please avoid any tall accessories, such as tall hats, that could potentially block the view of other children standing behind your child.)
