We had so much fun today learning how many things we can do in 100 seconds, writing about what our birthday party would be like when we turn 100, drawing portraits of our 100-year-old-selves, and sharing what 100 items looks like. Here is a picture of our 100 day smarter hats we made.
We have had some awesome parents donate two very large baskets for us for our STEM Gala Auction Basket. BUT—we still need many donations to continue to fill it.
It’s competition time! The 1st grade team will be making a Family Fun Activity Basket. To make this happen, we need some donations from family/friends. Feel free to ask companies for donations, purchase items, or re-gift items. Nothing is too small or too great. The baskets will be auctioned off via a Silent Auction in conjunction with our Gala! Baskets will be on display prior to the event in the lobby area of Q1. The basket donations are due no later than Friday, February 19th. The STEM Gala is March 21st.
Thank you so much for all of your support! With a little help we can put together the best basket and win! The ideas are endless and there is no idea that we can think of you could donate that wouldn’t fit into our basket theme. Because of the high demand our supplies are running out. If you are able, we would appreciate donations of bandaids. I would prefer plain, non-colorful/pictured bandaids…just plain, boring bandaids. THANK YOU!
There are a few students who no longer have working headphones, or have never brought headphones. We use our headphones EVERY SINGLE DAY, often all at the same time, and we do not allow students to borrow other students’ headphones because of liability in case they are broken, etc. We also recommend over the head phones to cancel out surrounding noise.
Will you please ask your child if she/he has a working set of headphones at school, and, if not, could you please send a pair of headphones with your child to school as soon as possible? Thank you very much!
Last but not least (sorry so much) Please send your child with a plain, but clean sock that is not being used at home whether old or too small for your child to use as an eraser. We are going through enormous amounts of tissues being used as erasers. With it being cold season I would like to make sure we have plenty of tissues on hand. Thanks!!
