First off, let me begin by saying it has been an absolutely wonderful school year! Your students have melted my heart and I truly love and care for each one. Each student is amazing and I have been so very blessed to have been chosen as their teacher! I will miss their smiles, hugs, letters, pictures, and personalities!
I wish the best for each of them. Thank you for supporting your students and myself during this school year. I hope that I have made a lasting impression on them and have instilled in them a love of learning. I would be tickled pink if my cute students saw me out and about and ran to give me a hug or high five!
Have a wonderful summer! Don’t forget to read and keep up on all that you have learned, you are going to be tremendous, big 2nd graders! I am so proud of all that you have accomplished!
We had such a wonderful time at our field trip to the Aerospace Museum at Hill Air Force Base and with the Hill Air Force Base Fire Fighters! Thank you so much for all of the volunteers that helped and especially our military helpers who made this possible for us. I’d also like to give a huge shout out to Spencer VanWeerd for hooking us up with the fire truck and facilitating that great learning and exploring for our students. Also, a big thanks to Eric Rippley for talking to our kids about aviation. IMG_0959
Our class is participating in the “Book It! Read your heart out” program. Our goal is for each student to read 80 minutes each week. Once a month awards will be given to all students who have achieved this goal. Please print out the monthly reading log for your student. I will collect them the last school day of every month. Click here to print the monthly reading log: Book It Reading LogHappy reading
QUESTION OF THE WEEK: ** Something new** Each week we will have a question of the week, posted by one of our students. Please help your student answer the question by having your student leave a comment on that post. Thank you!

Butterfly Release! So exciting! Those butterflies were so fast that I couldn’t catch a good picture of them landing on Oakley’s nose. They had a blast!
