What a wonderful first day of school we had today! If you can take a second and fill out the “Get To Know You Form” to help me better understand what you’d like to see this school year for your child, I would appreciate it!  Also, I’ve added the other forms and info links below if you have not signed the yearly permission slip or would like to pay your donations online for field trip, parties, and supplies.

First Grade Memories

Thank you for a great year
What an honor to be your children’s teacher this year!  They are so dear to me and I am so proud of their hard work and it’s been so much fun to see how they’ve grown!  Luckily, I know most of them will be just down the hall next year and I will be able to see their adorable faces now and then–so this isn’t really good-bye!

Thank you, parents, for all your amazing support this year: helping your child complete their homework, help on field trips and in the classroom or helping from home.  Thanks for all your donations for parties and classroom supplies!  I can’t thank you enough, and especially for sharing your kiddos with us.  I will miss them, but excited for all the growth and learning that lies ahead!  🙂  Enjoy our First Grade memories video below:

Hill Aerospace Museum Field Trip

Parents,

Due to the extensive high cost of the bus transportation for our field trip on Friday, we are asking for a head count of who will be taking their child with them after the field trip from the museum. We found that in previous years most parents have chosen to take their child from the museum, leaving us with an empty bus going home that we are still having to pay for. Can you please let us know as soon as possible if you will be checking out your child at the museum and taking them with you instead of riding the bus back to the school? Please note that upon arrival at the school, we will be arriving shortly before school is dismissed.

Our final field trip is Friday, May 24th from 9:30am-1:15pm to the Hill Aerospace Museum.  Please have your student wear their RED uniform shirt for this field trip.  They will need to bring a sack lunch from home as no school lunch will be available and it needs to be completely disposable- The following students that will be provided a school lunch are:  Olivia, Abi, Vann, and Kylee.  All students other than these 4 listed previously need to bring a sack lunch from home for the field trip.  We will be leaving the school promptly at 9:30am following the talent show assembly and returning to the school by 1:15pm.  We have our field trip groups arranged but you are happy to join your students group if you are not listed as a designated chaperone.

**Chaperones:  Please bring a backpack to carry your groups lunches in.  You are able to eat lunch with your group when the children want to.  There are picnic tables out front.  We will have the students hold onto their lunches during the assembly and meet at the front picnic table area under the big bomber for a group photo and to gather your students lunches.
Thank you so very much for being willing to chaperone a group of students!  We appreciate you!
