Figurative Language

My 9th-grade classes are working on a unit that I’m very excited about.  We will be reading and analyzing several documents of historical significance.  Among other things, we will be looking at examples of figurative language within these texts.  Therefore, we’re beginning this unit by going over several definitions and examples for different literary techniques that are frequently used.  Students will take a QUIZ on the 10 Figurative Language techniques on Monday, January 25th (A-Day students) or Tuesday, January 26th (B-Day students).  I’ve attached the notes below to assist students in studying.
