Reading Homework: 
Read 100 minutes per week. Students should have chosen a book with at least 200 pages for the end-of-quarter book report and should be completing the chapter summary Google doc as they read. It is due on October 15th. We will complete the book report project in class.

Science: 
This week we will finish our unit on magnetism.

ELA: 
This week we will be focusing on the benefits and drawbacks—the positive and negative aspects—of new technology. We will be exploring our ideas about technology and how we can support our opinions with facts and observations.

Class Reward

Our class has earned a reward for good behavior! Yay! Tomorrow, 9/25, students may come to school wearing pajamas that are appropriate according to school policy (no tank tops, slippers, etc.). At the end of the day, they will have free time on electronic devices. Students may choose to bring a device from home (remember, there will not be wi-fi available), or use a school computer in class. All devices must remain in lockers until that time.

ELA: This week our class will be focusing on how technology leads to creative ideas. We will be discussing how scientific investigation and invention can lead to new tools, technologies, and products.
