Paret-Teacher Conference
Parent-Teacher Conference will be held on Tuesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 7th. Each appointment is 20 minutes. Please use the following link to choose a date and time that fits your schedule. I look forward to meeting with you and your child.

Language Arts:
This week our class will focus on things that we can observe in nature. We will be discussing how we investigate the questions we have about our observations, including the methods and tools we might use.

Party Planning
***If you are interested in volunteering, please keep in mind siblings will not be allowed to attend the Halloween party. GREEN ACRES FIELD TRIP
The fifth grade will be going on a field trip to Green Acres Dairy, on Tuesday, October 15th, from 9:00-12:00. We will be experiencing the farm as well as the corn maze. We are asking for each student to donate $5 to help pay for busses and admission. We are also asking for five parent volunteers per class. The volunteers selected will be notified. Volunteers will also need to pay the $5. Please pay your donation to the front office by October 15th.
Students will still be required to wear their uniforms, but please also dress appropriately for the weather. We will be back to the school prior to lunch. Please do not send any food with your student to eat on the field trip. We are also asking for no siblings to attend. We will need help from our parents to watch and help with the fifth graders. This is your chance to have a great adventure with your student. Please complete the form below.

Optional Homework
Although homework will remain the same, it is now optional. Because multiplication fluency is so very critical in 5th grade, I highly recommend that students who do not have 100% on Reflex continue to attain three green lights per week. Reading at least 20 minutes per night is still encouraged. There will no longer be a homework form to complete or a quarterly book report.
