Gala Performance

Dear Parents,

Due to a lack of sign-ups I am in a desperate plea to get as many as I can to the Gala performance. If you are able to sign your child up to be a part of the First Grade Choir for the Quest Gala, please fill out the form Quest Academy Gala Student Participation Form[1] and send your child to school with it tomorrow.

As with any school performance, we would love for you to come and support your child and invite any other family members to do the same (adults only please). Since this is a fundraising event, tickets must be purchased to attend the Gala and watch the performances. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE.  If you choose to attend the Gala, please bring your child with you and we will provide the necessary supervision for the students until it is time for them to perform.  If you are unable to attend, but would still like for your child to be in attendance, you may drop your child off at 6:15 pm and pick them up at 7:00 pm at the Comfort Suites Hotel.

The Quest Gala will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Comfort Suites Hotel at2250 S. 1200 W. Ogden, UT. 84401.  Social hour and auction preview will begin at 5:00 pm with dinner served at 6:00.

Please fill out the attached form and have your child return it to me at school by TOMORROW, April 19th, and I will submit them to POQA for any ticket purchases.

Please plan to have your child wear a red shirt, uniform pants, and any patriotic accessories that you wish (patriotic jewelry, belts, scarves, headbands, bows, small hats, etc.).  Please refrain from wearing tall hats or accessories, since your child may be standing in front of another child.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

1st Grade Patriotic Choir for Quest Gala

Here is the link to your child’s phonics fluency stories Level 2 Anita Archer Fluency. Please print Lesson 12 and have your child read it each night. Time them for 1 minute and have them read as many words as they can. If they get to the bottom they will go back to the top and continue reading until the 1 minute is up.

-PLEASE make sure your child is bringing their blue folder everyday to school. There are passages in them that are another resource for reading I am asking that you have them read it EVERY NIGHT.

They need to be timed for 1 minute and then using their retell ropes (in back of sheet protector) to tell you as much as they can about the story.
Here are homework-fluency-instructions for help.
