Quest families,

If you are planning to have your current student(s) return to Quest Academy for the 2023-2024 school year, and have not yet completed the registration, the deadline has passed and you are currently at risk of losing a position for the upcoming school year. If you would like your student(s) to retain a position at Quest Academy, please follow the instructions below to complete the registration before January 2, 2023.

**If you have already completed the registration for your current student(s), you may disregard this message**

Please use a laptop or desktop computer to complete the registration. Our Aspire program does not always work well from a mobile device.

You will log into your Aspire parent portal HERE, or from our website under CURRENT FAMILIES, and register under the existing student ID. Please do not click on the blue box for a NEW student. You will want to click on the green or orange box (see below). 

Once you log into your Aspire parent portal, you will select each of your current students individually by clicking on the box with their name. That will take you to their student Summary page. Once in the student Summary page, you will see a “registration link” such as the one below, located to the right of your student’s name.

After you click on the registration link, please: 

• Review the Enrollment Information and update or change any information needed. Please note: At least one Emergency Contact is required for each student outside of the Custodial Contacts.
• Review the Welcome Letter
• Review each of the 12 agreements and electronically sign when prompted

When you have finished reviewing/signing, you will be taken to the final page where you will see the word “Complete” in green next to each of the agreements. If you see “Incomplete” in red next to any of the agreements, please review and complete that portion of the registration.

If you are not planning to have your student return to Quest for the 2023-24 school year, please contact the school.

PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to enroll an additional child (sibling) you will do so during our New Student Enrollment beginning January 3, 2023.

Quest Academy Charter School

We are currently working on Unit 5 in Language Arts. Here are the power words, oral vocabulary words, letters, and sounds we will be mastering during this unit. We are continuing to work on handwriting and blending sounds to read words.

In math, we are counting to 100 by 10’s and 1’s. We will begin addition after the holiday break. We continue to work on our individual math pathways (on Nearpod). We enjoy celebrating as each child masters a standard. Hearing the class chimes ring and seeing the smiles of delight are some of my favorite moments.

Finally, in science we will begin our Seasons unit. We will discuss what to wear for different types of weather and explore the season cycles.

We are having way too much fun in kindergarten this month! We have so many fun holiday activities this month. We have a STEM activity where we will be using gumdrops, as well as treats for our gingerbread party on December 16th. • Friday, December 2- $1.00 (or more) dress down– donations will benefit Quest Angel Tree. (Student participation is optional. Students are welcome to wear a Quest Spirit shirt with uniform pants or traditional uniforms).
• Saturday, December 3- Reindeer Run and Breakfast with the Grinch
• Monday, December 12: Discovery Gateway comes to Quest Kindergarten classes
• Friday, December 16: Class Winter Party
• December 17-January 1: Winter Break- No School

We are now beginning Unit 4 in Language Arts. Below are the power words, oral vocabulary words, letters, and sounds we will be mastering during the next 3 weeks. By the time we complete this unit, we will have been introduced to all our sound wall sounds. We are working on handwriting and continuing to blend sounds to read words.

In math, we are exploring teen numbers. We will also be mastering counting to 100 by 10’s. We are also making great progress on our individual math pathways (ask us about the standard we are working on).

In technology, we are recording ourselves reading using the SeeSaw app. We look forward to our science and STEM lessons. We are exploring forces and working to solve problems together in groups. We look forward to completing our forces unit with a visit from Discovery Gateway. They will have several fun forces activities for us.
