Reminders:
– SAGE Testing went well last week!  I was so proud of students and how hard they worked to do their very best on each test!
– We have a week off from testing and then will take the SAGE Math Test NEXT WEEK.  You can help your child do their very best by making sure they get a good night’s rest, eat a nutritious breakfast, and arrive to school on time on SAGE testing days.  This is a great opportunity for students to celebrate all they have learned this year!
– I am doing math tutoring after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.  If you would like your child to attend tutoring, please let me know so that I can get them on my schedule.
– We are practicing our class play in earnest.  Students are so excited!  We will be doing all preparations in class, but I’m asking that you help your student come up with a SIMPLE costume for their part.  If you have questions about this, please let me know.  Students’ costumes need to be brought to school no later than Thursday, May 17th.

This Week in Math:
We will be learning about EQUATIONS in math this week  We will also be reviewing all that we’ve learned in math this year in preparation for taking the Math SAGE Test next week.

This Week in Language Arts:
This week’s Language Arts will be back to our regular Wonders schedule.  We will be focusing on Unit 6 Week 2:
Unit 6 Week 2 Outline
Homework:

Your most important homework is to read for 20 minutes every night.  You can print the reading calendar below to keep track of your reading.  I also gave each student a reading calendar last week.  Just color in one flower each night you read.  Bring your calendar with every flower colored in the last week of school to get a special prize!
May Reading LogFor math homework this week, you should still be practicing your multiplication facts!  It is so important to continue to practice so that you don’t forget these facts.  Being able to recall your multiplication facts quickly and correctly will make other math concepts so much easier for you!

It is sure to be an AMAZING week!
