Homework for the Week of Jan. 5th

Welcome Back!! I hope everyone had a great break! Homework will be a little different this week. I will be doing some spelling tests to determine if each child is placed in the right sort group. This could mean that your child could go up in spelling sorts, stays the same, or goes down in spelling sorts. Starting on the 12th, we will get back into our spelling sorts. I will post the new sort groups with next weeks homework post. This week for math, we will be working on multiplying and dividing by 6 and 7. Hopefully over the break your child has had a chance to work on their multiplication facts. We will continue to work on earning our multiplication madness party!

Homework for the Week of December 15th.

***HOMEWORK ORGANIZER***
We are not having any word sorts this week.  Please have your student practice their multiplication facts and read for 20 minutes each night.  A great website for multiplication facts is Front Row Ed.  There is a link on the sidebar that takes you to that site.  The class code for our class is xfetrd.
Also, please, please, please fill out the reading log for your child to receive homework points for reading. Many of my students are handing in the homework organizer, but not their reading minutes.  I need this form also filled out along with the homework organizer.   Reading Log
If you have any questions, fill free to email me.  Thanks for all of your support!!

Winter Fantasy Song

Parents and students, under the class links on the right side of the blog, you will see the link for Winter Fantasy. This is a song that we are learning to perform for the sing-a-long that the school is having on December 19th. Some students have wanted the words and music to practice the song, so here it is. Thanks!

Kindness Tree

Hey parents,
We have started a kindness tree in our classroom.  Every student has been able to earn a decoration to add to the tree for being kind.  Ask your student and find out how he or she was kind today.
