Valentine’s Day Party
On February 14th our class will be having a Valentine’s party. We will be having a Valentine Card exchange in conjunction with the party. Students are welcome to bring a decorated box or bag. We will not be making them in class. The card exchange is optional. If your student would like to participate please remember that food items are NOT allowed with the cards. Toys, pencils, erasers, etc. are allowed to accompany cards, but are not required. Any students participating will need to bring a card for each member of our class, 25 students total. Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, January 29th & Thursday, January 31st. Please click on the following link to sign up for a time slot.

• Reading Tutoring 3:00 – 3:30

• Short Day 1:30  

Homework:
*Students should read at least 20 minutes per day. Part of their reading should include a biography book to be completed before February 25th. We will work on the book report project in class. 

ELA:
This week our class will be focusing on the kinds of stories we tell and why we tell them. We will also be taking a look at how stories, such as legends and myths, are a way of expressing a culture.
