Just a reminder that the maturation presentation will be held on March 13th in the Q2 gym. Each session will take no longer than one hour. 

The girls’ session will begin at 8:45 am.
The boys’ session will begin at 9:45 am.

Here is a look at what’s happening in our class this week…..

Monday: Library, STEM & Music – Please bring your recorders.

Friday: Early out – 1:30pm

Book Reports: Books should be chosen and completely read by the end of this week. We will complete biography book reports in class next week. 

Social Studies: Everyone did a great job presenting on their westward expansion topic last week!

Math: Students will graph and interpret points in the first quadrant of a coordinate plane. 











*Math tutoring is available every Thursday after school from 3:00 – 3:30. 

Science – Heredity: Students will understand that traits are passed from parent organisms to their offspring and that sometimes the offspring may possess variations of these traits that may help or hinder survival in a given environment.

Language Arts: We will review and test on Unit 4.

*I will be handing out permission slips for our maturation program at the parent-teacher conference. The program will be held on March 13th from 8:45 am – 9:45 am for girls, and 9:45 am – 10:45 am for boys.  You are invited to attend with your student.

On February 1st, we celebrated the thousandth day of school for fifth graders with a photo.
