Terrific Tuesday!

Published by under Homework

Tonight for both Third and Fourth Graders, homework consists of working on Brainiac projects, and making sure they have at least one address of someone they can send their Flat Stanley to. We will be mailing them out by Friday of this week. Upcoming events: September 27 : We are participating in a project with Thanksgiving Point called Tulips North! We will be planting tulip bulbs around the school on this day and would love any parent help! October 4: Our first field trip! We will be going to the This Is The Place Monument and participating in activities there. Parent volunteers are welcome and more information will be forthcoming. Thank you for all you do! Just a few reminders…
  • No toys are to come to school. There have been several problems with parts missing, getting broken, etc. Thank you for understanding.
  • If you are in need of some volunteer hours, I have a few laminated items that need to be cut out.
  • Assistance in class is welcome as well…

Brainiac Project due September 27….no late assignments accepted…..
Fourth Grade Homework
You have $20 to spend on a healthy meal. Find your total and your change. Use either the online ad, like we did in class, or an actual ad from a grocery store.

…And we’re off!

Published by under Homework

Welcome back from a wonderful Labor Day break!

I will be updating the blog everyday with homework assignments and needed bits of information. Normally I send out an email of information, but this year I will be utilizing the blog more.

So….here we go!

Third Graders: Homework for this evening is as follows: Find four number patterns and record them. Select one of the patterns and write a story problem incorporating the pattern into it. Bring in a chapter book to have on hand. Read for twenty minutes. Practice math facts.

Fourth Graders: Create four dollar amounts and write them in the three ways discussed and practiced in class today {example: $4.78 : 4 ones + 7 tenths + 8 hundreths, 4 dollars + 7 dimes + 8 pennies, 4 ones + 78 hundreths}. Bring in a chapter book to have on hand. Read for twenty minutes. Practice math facts.

End of year test results were sent home with all fourth graders…be on the lookout!

Volunteer Opportunity: I have several things that have been laminated and need to be cut out. If you are interested, please leave a note on the blog, or stop by in the morning! Thanks!

Thank you parents for all you do!

First Day…success!

Published by under Homework

We made it through the first day! And what a great one at that! Thank you for the supplies for our room! We will be putting them to good use throughout the year. Homework for tonight is to make sure that your student has a book to read during Silent Sustained Reading time and to bring in a magazine or two that can be cut up. Have a great evening! Mrs. Tucker
