What a great week! So many things learned, adventures had, and giggles! Have a great weekend!!! {I will be out on Monday! See you on Tuesday!}
{A Pet Rock project was handed out today. It is due April 30. It is an IN CLASS PROJECT! {except for the procurement of a rock by Tuesday, April 15} Please do not stress about it at home. All of the recent projects have been assigned so that there are fun things to do after testing that still have an educational component. ALL of the projects are in class projects, with little that needs to be done at home.}

Brainiacs were amazing!!! I will post them this weekend!
Reminders for tomorrow’s field trip….please wear uniform pants and either a spirit shirt or a white shirt, please wear tennies, bring a lunch and a water bottle in your backpack, wear/bring a light jacket, and meet at the Roy FrontRunner station by 8:30am. We will return at 2:47pm.
Here is the itinerary of events…we are in group B.Please be sure to cancel any lunches that were ordered for Friday. It will go to waste otherwise.
Permission slips for the Symphony went home today and are due on March 21.

{Field Trip on Friday, March 14 to the Discovery Science Center and the Clarke Planetarium: We have a minute opening if there is any interested parents who wish to attend. Transportation costs are taken care of and admission costs as well. There is still one spot for the Symphony trip on March 25 as well} For Friday, there is the option of students purchasing popcorn and a soda to eat during the movie at the Planetarium. It is $2 and I will need to give a head count tomorrow. you will pay when we arrive at the Planetarium.

The Clark Planetarium is partnering with Art Access to host our 2nd annual DEEP SPACE ART exhibit of children’s artwork.
The exhibit will open on April 4, 2014 at the Clark Planetarium and will feature artwork by children and teens from ages 5 to 18.
Young artists are invited to submit one piece of art ready for hanging and exhibition (fixed mediums,
protected work, framed with wired backs, etc.). Artwork should have an astronomy-inspired theme, and may be based in hard science or science fiction. Please ensure that all artwork is clearly signed by its creator and is accompanied by the exhibit submission form.
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, March 19 before 9:00 p.m.
Please bring submissions to The Clark Planetarium @ 110 South 400 West and ask for either Callista Pearson or Lindsie
Smith. Submissions will be juried on March 24 and artists will be notified via email by March 28.
