Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival

Today the third grade was given free tickets to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. These tickets expire on May 3rd so we will be going on May 2nd. I’m sorry this is so last minute and the same week as our Apple Store field trip, but this is a great opportunity for our class. Two prepaid chaperones will be randomly selected once all permission slips are returned. Here is a copy of the permission slip if you need it. Tulip Festival Permission Slip

Thanks,
Ms. Young

Flash Drive

Don’t forget that each student needs to bring in a flash drive with about 20 pictures and one (appropriate) song for the Apple Store field trip on Wednesday. I can hold on to these so that no one forgets them the day of the field trip. If you are having any trouble with this, let me know!

The third grade is planning one more field trip after the Apple Store. If you have not yet contributed to the field trip fund, please do so now. Each student is asked to contribute $10. Money should go right to the front office. They will mark you down as paid. If you are not sure if you have contributed yet, they have a list in the front office.

Apple Fieldtrip Addition

As you know our 3rd grade class is going on a field trip to the Apple Store at Farmington Station. On the last permission slip I failed to mention that we will also be getting back on the Front Runner and going to the Planetarium. We will be going to the 12:30 showing in the Hansen Dome of “ The Perfect Little Planet”.   The show is approx. 35 minutes long. After the show, we will have few minutes to explore the interactive displays in the lobby area.

Everything else about the fieldtrip is the same. We will meet at the Front Runner station in Roy at 8:05am on April 30th and we will return about 3 p.m. the same day wherein you will need to pick them up at the Front Runner station where you dropped your student off. The students will participate in the iMovie Project and then go to the planetarium. All parties are required to meet at the Roy train station by 8:25am at the very latest. We would prefer you meet us earlier to ensure all students have made it.

To make sure everyone has this new information I will be sending home another permission slip.

Sorry for the inconvenience!!!

Ms. Young
