Only 2 WEEKS left of school!  I can’t believe it!  Please mark your calendars for all the exciting things happening!

Monday, May 14 – SAGE Math Test – 9:30am
Tuesday, May 15 – SAGE Math Test – 12:45pm
Wednesday, May 16 – STEM
Thursday, May 17 – Play Costumes brought to School
Friday, May 18 – Class Play Dress Rehearsal – 8:30am
Wednesday, May 23 – Class Play Performance – 2:00pm
Thursday, May 24 – Field Day
Friday, May 25 – Last Day of School, Talent Show

Reminders:
– After a week off, we will finish up SAGE testing with the math test on Monday and Tuesday.  You can help your child do their very best by making sure they get a good night’s rest, eat a nutritious breakfast, and arrive to school on time on SAGE testing days.  This is a great opportunity for students to celebrate all they have learned this year!  
– We are practicing our class play in earnest.  Students are so excited!  We will be doing all preparations in class, but I’m asking that you help your student come up with a SIMPLE costume for their part.  If you have questions about this, please let me know.  Students’ costumes need to be brought to school no later than Thursday, May 17th.  Here are some simple costume ideas (these are only ideas, please feel free to do what works best for you!):
     Narrators – Dress or Dress Shirt and Slacks
     Cinderella – Worn out clothes with rags tucked in (for beginning), business wear (for end)
     Friends – Clothes kids or teenagers would play in
     Stella and Star – Clothes kids would play in + Silly, elaborate hat of some kind
     Mom and Dad – Clothes adults would wear
     Fairy Godmother – Dress, wings, wand
     Fairy Godfather, Fairy Goduncle, Fairy Godcousin – Capes or cloaks, wand
     Rat and Mouse – grey or brown clothes, ears, tail
     Bird – beak, wings
     Prince Reginald – crown, slacks and dress shirt
     Advisors – slacks and dress shirt
     Glass Tablet – cardboard tablet “overalls”
     Cell Phone – cardboard cell phone “overalls”
     Laptop – cardboard laptop “overalls”
     Staff – black slacks and button up shirt
     Bettina – wild clothes, curlers, bathrobe

This Week in Math:
Students will be celebrating all they’ve learned this year by taking the SAGE test!

This Week in Language Arts:
Students will be researching the life cycle and habitats of butterflies.  They will using Google Slides to share the information they’ve learned through their research.  We are excitedly watching our caterpillars!
