Field Trip Details

We are excited for the field trip on Friday. The students will come to school at our normal time 8:25. They will line up outside as usual. We will bring them into the classroom to put them into chaperone groups. All chaperones should meet in my classroom at 8:25 also. We will then board the bus and travel to Layton to the Aquarium. All parents will travel in their own vehicles and meet us there. When we get off the bus, we will meet downstairs outside the aquarium where they will have us in class groups. We will divide up there. If you have a pass will you please respond to this email and let me know the name your pass is under. I will give that information to the aquarium when we check in. Part of the donation went to Aquarium fees, the other part was to cover the bus. But it will help some to let them know you have a pass.
PLEASE NO BACKPACKS ON FRIDAY! WE WILL MEET BACK AT THE SCHOOL AT 12:00 NOON.
Thanks,
Mrs. Cowan

Spring pictures will be taken on Tuesday, April 17th. Thus, uniforms are not required on this day. Please note that students should still follow dress down day guidelines by wearing appropriate attire. All students, unless you indicated otherwise, will have their picture taken. A picture packet will be sent home later for you to review before you purchase.

END OF YEAR TESTING

End of Year Testing/ No Kindergarten Apr. 30- May 3

testingImportant:  April 30th (Mon.) through May 3rd (Thurs.), we will not be having regularly scheduled class.  Instead, we will be doing end of year testing. This is extremely important, as it will place your child in the correct class for first grade.  I need ALL students to show up to be tested.  I have created a sign up account in Sign Up Genius.  As soon as possible, please schedule a time that works best for you to bring your student into our classroom for testing.

GAME DAY

Your children are amazing. I do raise the bar a bit, because I know that they can handle it, but they still amaze me. I’m so proud of their GRIT. We talk a lot about giving your personal best in everything you do. But mostly it’s about not giving up when things feel hard or you don’t understand something. They have definitely shown GRIT over the past few weeks. Mrs. Barrett and I are so proud of them. As a reward we are going to spend some time on Monday playing board games. A few students have volunteered to bring their own games for the class to use. I will email you individually to get permission to use your game if your student was chosen to bring one. Obviously it won’t take up our whole day, but it will be so fun and rewarding. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us.
